Yushima Tenjin Shrine has been a well-known spot for plum blossom viewing for hundreds of years, and has over 300 trees spread across the grounds. The Bunkyo Plum Festival is a very popular festival that sees many crowds of visitors from mid February to early March, with many "yatai" (Japanese food stalls) open on the weekends. Relax with a cup of amazake (a sweet fermented rice drink) while you breathe in the sweet and subtle scent of the plum blossoms!
